When I first read about the news about Hello Kitty Land and Thomas & Friends theme park in Johor Bahru, I pondered for a moment. I couldn’t believe my eyes. Yes, it will be in Johor Bahru, very near to Singapore and very near to my parents’ place in Johor Bahru.
As a mom of a little toddler, I am so excited about this theme park because I know my little boy will surely love this place! While anxiously anticipating Legoland, we are going to add this place to our list of must-visit places.
Puteri Harbour Theme Park
The theme park will be located at Nusajaya, near to Legoland. The name of the place is Puteri Harbour Theme Park. It will be a four-storey building comprises of Hello Kitty Town, The Little Big Club and The Lats’ Place. Worry about the hot weather? Good news, it’s an indoor theme park. It is schedule to open in October 2012.
Hello Kitty Town
This is the first ever Hello Kitty theme park outside Japan. There will be interactive activities, rides, places for photo-taking and live performances. If you are a Hello Kitty fan, you will surely love their cookie studio, nail salon, jewelry making and costume dress up at the photo studio and a doll factory.
Little Big Club
This is a place where little toddlers will go crazy. Children will get to see their favorite characters – Thomas & friends, Barney, Bob the Builder, Angelina Ballerina and Pingu comes live! Similar to Hello Kitty Land, there are lots of interactive activities and rides available. Highlights include Thomas and friends rides, Bob the Builder house building activities, Barney’s live performances.
Lats’ Place
Lat’s Place is a themed restaurant based on a very famous local cartoon.
Tickets
The tickets are available for bookings on their website through a Malaysia ticketing agent. Ticket prices are the same for both adults and children. MyKad holders (Malaysians) get to enjoy special ticket prices.
There are two options available, ticket for one park or ticket for both parks:
One Park Ticket: RM65 (Normal Price) RM50 (MyKad Price)
Twin Park Ticket: RM85 (Normal Price) RM65 (MyKad Price)
No information was given for children below 2 yrs. Same price with adults too? even for infants? Not quite sure about that.
It’s not easy to google for their website. I spent quite some time doing that. You may visit their official website here.
